Gehlot Seeks Land For Raj Bhavan In 3 States | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has written to the chief ministers of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal for allotment of land for the construction of Rajasthan Bhavan for migrant Rajasthanis on the lines of Rajasthan Bhavan located in Navi Mumbai.
Gehlot has asked for 3,000 square metre of land at suitable places in Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai for the construction of Rajasthan Bhavans.
Gehlot’s letter to the chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah stated that with the construction of Rajasthan Bhavan in IT city Bengaluru, various facilities will be available to the migrant Rajasthanis living in the city, as well as programmes and exhibitions related to Rajasthani art and culture could be organised. This would encourage cultural exchanges between the two states.
In a letter to West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Gehlot pointed out that with the construction of Rajasthan Bhavan in City of Joy, Rajasthani migrants living in the city and traveling Rajasthanis will get an atmosphere of home away from home and they will be able to enjoy Rajasthani cuisine and stay. This step will give further impetus to the cultural exchange between the great cultures of both the states.
In his letter to Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin, Gehlot stated that the construction of Rajasthan Bhavan in Chennai will enhance the contact between the two states with each other’s rich cultures and traditions. Visitors to Rajasthan in Chennai will be able to enjoy Rajasthani hospitality and cuisine away from home.
