Jaipur: A 13-year-old girl studying in class 7 and living in a locality of Bhankrota was gang-raped by two youths. The matter came to light when the girl shared her plight after discovering that she was pregnant.
Her family has lodged a case of gangrape against two youths who befriended her through social media and later raped her. They also alleged that she was also raped by one of her relatives later. Police said the girl’s mother approached police on Sunday with a written complaint against the two accused.
“The girl was not talking much at home and had cornered herself. She was taken to hospital a few days ago after she complained of vomiting and other health issues. Doctors told the family she was pregnant. That’s when her parents found that she became friends with the accused identified as Hemant Rathore and Rohan Meena (age of both would be verified after their arrest). They took the girl at a place and raped her in March,” said an officer of Bhankrota police station while quoting the FIR lodged by the girl’s mother.
Police said the girl’s medical examination will be done. A case under appropriate sections of POCSO Act and IPC has been lodged against the accused. TNN
