Goldy Brar: 2 Held For Using Calling App To Threaten Bizman To Pay Money | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Police on Friday arrested a 24-year-old man and his friend for allegedly making multiple calls from a mobile application by impersonating notorious gangster Goldy Brar to demand Rs 2 crore from a businessman.
Additional DCP (West) Ram Singh said police arrested the accused identified as Saurav Singh, a native of Dudu, and his friend Yagya Prajapat. Primary investigation revealed that Saurav worked at an apartment near Sahakar Marg under Jyoti Nagar police station area.
“Saurav had an argument with a businessman who lived in one of the apartments. He quit the job and returned to Dudu where he tried to find a way to teach the businessman a lesson,” Singh said.
Police found that Saurav downloaded a mobile application with the help of his friend Prajapat. “The particular mobile application allows a user to make multiple calls from unknown numbers. Saurav called up the businessman and demanded money by claiming to be gangster Goldy Brar,” Singh said.
