JAIPUR: Congress general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan Ajay Maken on Tuesday said the proposed cabinet reshuffle will be held ‘very soon’. However as usual, he did not give any date. Maken said the party high command will decide the reshuffle’s timing.
According to sources the cabinet reshuffle is likely to be held before the Monsoon session of the assembly beginning on September 9.
He said, “I am in regular touch with the chief minister (Ashok Gehlot), Sachin Pilot and all senior leaders. I have conveyed to them what the high command is doing. I have told them it is a work in progress and decision will come very soon.”
Over the delay he said, “It is not delay but a strategy at hand.” He added, “We have everything under control.” He asked reporters, “Are you hearing any different noises now. Everyone is at peace now.”
Maken, while addressing a press conference in Delhi, said the cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan is a ‘work in progress ‘, He claimed that all is well in Rajasthan. “I am in touch with all the leaders. Rajasthan is a big state, so work is being done keeping everything in mind.
He said there are various considerations. “We want to take care of every faction, it is a big state, caste, gender, regional balance had to be taken in to account before going for the cabinet expansion.”
