Jaipur: In an apparent dig at PM Narendra Modi, CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday tweeted that BJP took 77 days to arrest one accused in the Manipur gang-rape incident while the Congress government nabbed the Jodhpur gang-rape accused in just two hours. Gehlot’s tweet came hours after Modi, condemning the Manipur incident, said: “Be it Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Manipur or any part of the country, maintaining law and order and respecting women should be put above any political debate.” Gehlot tweeted, “It is very sad that the violence in Manipur is not stopping. Due to the BJP negligence, 142 people have died in Manipur so far.” TNN
