Governor: Guv Calls Cs, Dgp, Home Secretary To Raj Bhavan | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday called a meeting of the chief secretary, home secretary, DGP and Jaipur police commissioner at Raj Bhavan to conduct a special review of the law-and-order situation in the state following the brazen murder of Rashtriya Karnai Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi at his residence on Tuesday.
Mishra also appealed to the public for cooperation in maintaining peace and law and order.He warned that strict action will be taken against those breaching the peace.
Mishra said that the murder in broad daylight was a serious matter of concern and he had instructed the administration to continuously monitor the situation arising out of this organized crime.
He also directed to ensure strict action against the criminals. He said that the police and administration should take effective steps at all levels to ensure that law and order in the state does not deteriorate at any level. Organized crimes should be closely monitored and strict and effective action should be taken against them, he said.
The governor expressed anguish that the culprits were still at large and that they had escaped from the heart of the city giving police the slip.

Unidentified assailants entered a residence and opened fire, injuring Gogamedi’s security personnel and another person. Gogamedi was taken to a private hospital but could not survive the injuries. Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra confirmed the incident.
