JAIPUR: The state government has made a provision of reimbursing air travel fare up to Rs 1 lakh for a person requiring organ transplant and an accompanying attendant as they travel for the transplant.
In the 2023-24 state Budget, CM Ashok Gehlot had announced raising the Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana (CBSY) coverage from Rs 10 lakh annually to Rs 25 lakh annually. He had announced that organ transplant would be covered not only in the state but also outside.
In the guidelines for organ transplant outside the state released by Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency (RSHAA), provision of up to Rs1 lakh air travel fare reimbursement has been made. The beneficiary families of CSBY will be able to get the benefit of organ transplant outside the state as well.
ACS (health) Shubhra Singh said the beneficiary families of scheme can undergo organ transplant outside the state.
