Govt Depts To Recruit 1 Lakhpeople To Fill Vacancies: Cm | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: With an eye on state assembly elections, chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday announced one lakh new recruitments and treatment in hospitals outside the state under the Chiranjeevi Yojana for patients requiring organ transplants.
These recruitments will be over and above the hiring announced earlier. Replying to the Budget debate, the CM said these will be made to fill vacancies in all departments.
“In the Budget, we had announced increasing the treatment limit from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh under the Chiranjeevi scheme. Organ transplants could earlier be done at empanelled hospitals in Rajasthan. But now, transplant expenses will be provided at any hospital outside the state as per the package.”
For farmers, Gehlot announced a ‘voluntary load increase’ scheme. Under this, farmers will not be penalised for self-declared loads and vigilance reports will not be filed against them in case of revisions.
Lauding the state’s financial progress, he said, “The annual per capita income in 2022-23 was Rs 1.56 lakh, which is 85% more than last year. In the last four years, there has been an average growth of 10.01% in per capita, which is 7.89% in the country,” said the CM.
He criticised the Centre for ‘slashing’ Rs 21,000 crore from the state Budget. Attacking BJP MPs, he said, “There are 25 MPs from Rajasthan, none of them advocated the interests of the state. It’s the duty of the MPs to raise their voices.”
He accused the Modi government of cutting funds for the Border Area Development Programme by 71%, Swachh Bharat Mission by 30% and the National Agriculture Mission by 32%. The new income tax slabs too have confused everyone, he said.
Targeting the PM over the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), Gehlot said, “The people of Rajasthan will not forgive the BJP for the kind of hurdles they have created for implementing ERCP.”
