Govt Has Dealt With All Graft Cases Against Raje Govt: Cm | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday said that he is prepared to order an inquiry even now into any corruption charges against former chief minister Vasundhara Raje if any of the allegations made earlier are found to be pending. Gehlot said, all allegations were already inquired into and taken to their logical conclusions through courts.
Gehlot made these claims during an interview with NDTV.
Ordering a probe into allegations against corruption was one of the demands of his bete noire Sachin Pilot.
“All the allegations we made against her (Raje) have been taken to the courts and illegal mining allotted cancelled. I will act if anyone even a commoner, can point out what we have left pending,” he said.
“As per my information, all cases except an ED case against Raje have been attended to,” said Gehlot
The chief minister while refusing to disclose the details of Delhi talks said, “I wouldn’t want to talk about it right now. If I now say something, it might be misunderstood,” he said, requesting it a “close the topic” as it is an internal matter of the party.
Striking a conciliatory note, Gehlot said, “Today, only the Congress policies, programmes and principles could save the country. If we believe in that, such individuals should start working to defeat the fascist forces who have no faith in democracy setting aside all differences.”
Gehlot asserted that this time around, Congress would buck the trend of changing governments every five years in Rajasthan, piggybacking on his government’s ‘welfare model of governance’.
He said the five years of good governance and achievements in the field of infrastructure, education, health, water, power, and roads, 1 lakh kilometre of roads are being constructed (56,000km already constructed), 1 crore people are being given pensions will all work in favour of the government.
He said, even if PM Narendra Modi or home minister Amit Shah attempts to religious polarisation, none of that will work in Rajasthan this time as it did not in Karnataka.
“Whether PM Modi or Amit Shah…attempt to religious polarisation…none of that will work this time. It didn’t work when they mentioned Bajrang Bali in Karnataka. That was very wrong. I had demanded the Election Commission stop PM Modi from campaigning. This is a kind of crime,” Gehlot said.
“It’s in their nature, they can do anything,” he added when asked whether it will happen in Rajasthan as well.
On his challenger in the BJP, Gehlot said that the BJP leaders are competing to abuse him to grab the attention of the party’s central leadership as there are about half a dozen contenders for the CM post.
