Govt School Teachers To Begin Stir From July 15 | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Rashtriya), a government school teachers’ association, on Monday said that government school teachers in all districts will stage protests and take out rallies till district headquarters from July 15 to August 15. The teachers have submitted an 11-point list of demands to the state government, but they alleged that no action has been taken.
The primary demand of the teachers is to stop contractual hirings in the education department and regular hirings must be done.
“Contractual hirings in the education department must be stopped and those already employed must be given permanent jobs, and that too from the day they started working. There are 1.5 lakh posts of teachers vacant in the department,” said Ramesh Chand Pushkarna, state president of the organisation.
Between July 15-August 15, starting from each tehsil centre, teachers will take out foot marches till the district centre and ceremonies will be organised at the district headquarters to pray for good sense to the government, Pushkarna said.
“After that, there will be a series of protests in Jaipur, but if the government does not listen to us, we will intensify our movement,” said Mahendra Kumar Lakhara, state general secretary of Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Rashtriya).
The teachers demand that reports of Sawant and Khemraj committees constituted for the resolution of salary anomalies be made public and implemented immediately and the limit of 300 earned leaves at time of retirement be removed.
