JAISALMER: A government teacher died after a truck and a car collided at Ratnuon ki Dhani in Sheo police station area in Barmer district on Tuesday.
Police reached the spot and seized both the vehicles. The teacher’s body was handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
According to police, Bhiyad resident Bheekhdan Barhat (40) was going towards Sheo in his car on Sheo-Phalsoond route state highway 65 from his village when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided.
People nearby rescued the teacher and took him to a hospital where he was declared dead.
According to ASI Hariram, the teacher was identified as Mokhab Kala.
A case has been registered following a report by the family members of the deceased teacher. The truck driver fled the spot soon after the accident. Police have seized both the vehicles.
