Grp: Grp Nabs Thief For Stealing Bag With Valuables Worth ₹2l | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday arrested a 28-year-old thief for allegedly stealing a passenger’s bag containing valuable items worth nearly Rs 2 lakh from a train.
The accused, identified as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by a team of the GRP’s Jaipur station. Police have also recovered a lot of stolen items from him.
The theft came to light when a 35-year-old man filed a complaint alleging that his bag had been stolen while he was travelling on the Ajmer-Amritsar express on Thursday.
An investigation was launched into the case after sending separate teams to track down the accused. Police later nabbed Kumar before he could flee. According to the authorities, Kumar is a notorious criminal known for targeting train passengers and stealing their belongings. Cops are currently examining his criminal record to determine the extent of his involvement in similar crimes.
