Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Monday approved the amendment in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules-1996 clearing the way for government officers to get full pension benefits on completing the qualifying service of 25 years. Earlier, pension benefits could be availed only after completion of 28 years of service.
“The amendment cleared by the government will give a 10% additional pension to pensioner aged above 75 years. In case, the pensioner is no more, his or her married disabled son/ daughter can get up to Rs. 12,500 per month as per the amendment,” reads the statement.
Mishra has also approved the amendment in Schedule 5 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules 2017. “From now, the senior medical officers without the PG degree will get full financial benefits,” said an official. tnn
