Haridev Joshi University Students Seek Cm’s Help For Better Infrastructure | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Students of Haridev Joshi University have written to chief minister Ashok Gehlot demanding improvement in infrastructure facilities. Students have been protesting since long over lack of teachers, proper multimedia labs, furniture in classrooms among other issues. The students in their letter said the university was chief minister’s dream project, and by restarting it, the chief minister gave an opportunity to students who want to make a career in media and communications.
“When the university was started, it was thought that this will develop as a national centre for media and communication studies. We have students from various states like Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh…We know that in today’s times, media is under a lot pressure and challenges and in such a situation this university plays a major role,” states the letter.
The students further said the university has the potential to give good journalists to society, but due to lack of basic facilities in the university, thisgrowth is getting. The students have put forth five demands in the letter to the chief minister. These demands include appointment of teachers in all approved posts before the next academic session. TNN
