Abhinay Deo on Imran Khan quitting Bollywood: He has taken a call to go towards direction rather than acting | Hindi Movie News

“I would surely like to work with Imran again. After ‘Deli Belly’, there were a few feature films I had offered him as an actor,” Deo revealed and added, “But, he has taken a call to go towards direction rather than acting and I personally believe that he is a very talented guy. He is very intelligent, well-read, very well aware of world cinema.”
Standing by Imran and his decision to pursue filmmaking, he said, “Imran is a trained director. I personally feel that a person’s talent doesn’t need only one channel to come out of. If as a director he feels that he will be able to do justice to his craft, then so be it. Any form that his talent comes out, we should be welcoming.”
Imran, who made his debut in 2008 with ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ was last seen on the big screen in 2015’s ‘Katti Batti’ that also starred Kangana Ranaut.
A decade on, we asked if he has plans to reunite with the cast on a possible film or any other such project, pat came his reply, “Yes! In fact, on different occasions, different members of the cast have come together. Kunal and I, even Vir have thought of doing something together. All the four of us (lead cast) even thought of working together, but, you know how the industry is. Things will happen when they are supposed to happen.”
While Deo didn’t confirm a possible sequel, he did state, “The whole ‘Delhi Belly’ team is definitely looking forward to working together again.”
