Hotel Assault Case: Vigilance Report Submitted To Dgp In Ajmer Hotel Brawl Case | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The vigilance team investigating the misconduct angle in the case of assault on the hotel employees in Ajmer in which an IAS and IPS officers were suspended have found that both were involved in the assault and their “act comes under minor misconduct”. The report has been sent by Biju George Joseph, ADG (Vigilance) on Tuesday to Umesh Mishra, director general of police. The report would be submitted to the department of home and department of personnel and other departments concerned.

IAS officer Girdhar and IPS officer Sushil Kumar Bishnoi were allegedly found involved in a brawl outside a hotel on June 11. The hotel staff was allegedly beaten up by them and other persons.
An FIR in this connection was also lodged by the owner of the hotel at Gegal police station. As the video of the incident surfaced the state government on June 12 had suspended the officers, including Girdhar and Sushil Kumar Bishnoi. Later Biju George Joseph, ADG (Vigilance) was asked to probe the misconduct angle.

“As per all India service conduct rules, 1968 their offence comes under minor category. It was established that they were into the brawl. I have recommended for a minor penalty to them and handed over the report to DGP, Umesh Mishra,” said Joseph who was wrapping up his work on Tuesday before taking charge as the new commissioner of police, Jaipur.
Mishra after his remarks will send the report to various departments including department of personnel and department of home.
