Students Hospitalised: 28 Students Hospitalised After Eating Meals | Jaipur News

Kota: As many as 28 boys and girls of the middle section of a government senior secondary school in Jhalawar district were on Friday rushed to a local hospital allegedly due to food poisoning after having mid-day meals at the school.

The hospitalised students of classes I to VIII of the school at Dabla village under Dug police station were kept under medical observation, and all of them were reported to be in a normal condition.
Sources said one of the students had noticed parts of a lizard in dal curry served in the mid-day meal at the school on Friday and complained of uneasiness. After this, other students also complained of uneasiness, and two of them vomited repeatedly. They were then rushed to the local primary health centre (PHC).

“Fourteen of the 28 students brought here were administered drips. They are currently under medical observation, and all are in normal condition,” said Dr Vikas Jain of the PHC at Dug.
Senior officials of the district education department rushed to the spot. Additional district education officer Harishankar Sharma said a probe has been ordered into the matter. Many of the hospitalised students were discharged from the hospital in the evening, he added.
