Meena for the past 12 days has been protesting along with three widows of the Pulwama Terror Attack (PTA) alleging that the state has not fulfilled the promises made to them.
He claimed that he went to Samod to pay obeisance at the local temple along with his followers in the morning. Police present on the highway stopped him from entering the town suspecting him of visiting the residence of one protesting widow Manju Jat who lives nearby and will jam the main road to protest the arrest of his loyalist.

Meena in a tweet claimed that he sustained injuries and his clothes were torn by the police. Till the last report came, Meena was undergoing a checkup in the hospital and his loyalist gathered outside the hospital in large numbers raising anti-government slogans.
