Jaipur: The Jaipur police’s crime branch uncovered an illegal arms racket and arrested a 36-year-old vehicle dealer and detained a minor in two separate cases with illegal pistols.
Police identified the accused as Akash Govil, based in Mansarovar. The additional commissioner of Jaipur Police (Crime), Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, stated that the police took action based on specific intelligence targeting Govil, who is associated with the car business.
In a swift operation, police teams raided his premises, resulting in Govil’s arrest and the recovery of an illegal pistol.Bishnoi mentioned, “The accused, Akash Govil, confessed to procuring the firearm to intimidate his business rivals. He also revealed that the weapon was obtained from a suspect identified as Titu, hailing from Dholpur district.” TNN

The Ulhasnagar police have absolved businessman and RTI activist Moti Duseja from involvement in a case where a revolver and cartridges were recovered from his plywood shop. Duseja, known for using RTI to expose land mafias, uncovered illegal acquisition of government lands with the help of revenue officials. After his arrest, Duseja demanded a CBI inquiry. The recent charge sheet filed in court states his non-involvement in the offense. Duseja suspects the involvement of police officials in fabricating false charges against him.

Five operatives of Arshdeep Dalla, a designated terrorist and operative of Khalistan Tiger Force, have been arrested by Delhi Police. Highly sophisticated weapons and hand grenades were recovered from their possession. The arrested operatives, identified as Rajpreet Singh (Bomb), Virender Singh (Vimmy), Sachin Bhati, Arpit, and Susheel Pradhan, were apprehended after an exchange of fire in the Mayur Vihar area of Delhi. The police received a tip-off that the operatives were collecting money and illegal weapons to commit heinous crimes. The investigation revealed that they were planning major terror strikes and target killings in Delhi-NCR under the direction of Dalla.
