‘illegal’ Coaching Centres In City To Be Sealed: Govt | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The state government will soon start to seal “illegal” coaching centres across Jaipur, said housing commissioner Pawan Arora during a meeting with the allottees of the upcoming ‘Coaching Hub’ in Pratap Nagar.
“On the instructions of the urban development minister, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has given notices to coaching operators in Gopalpura, Lalkothi, Vidyadhar Nagar and Mansarovar areas. Since it is a sensitive matter related to education and the future of the students, the government did not take much strict action. However, soon strict action including sealing would be taken against such coaching institutes,” said Arora.
Raghuveer Saini, the chief of JDA’s enforcement wing, said that in 2019, following a massive fire at a coaching centre in Indore, JDA had formed a team to inspect all coaching centres across the city. The team had found violations of several building by-laws at several coaching centres.
“We had issued challans against these coaching centres and initiated cases. However, due to outbreak of Covid in 2020, the proceedings took backstage. We would reinitiate the proceedings as per the instructions of the government,” said Saini.
Arora also said that for the third phase of allotment in the coaching hub, to be started from May 15, the board will follow the policy of ‘open counter sale’. Online applications can be made from every Monday to Wednesday. Lottery would be drawn every Wednesday at 5 pm. Till now, out of 140 units in the coaching hub, 55 units have already been allotted to coaching operators.
