Illegal Weapons: Cops Nab 7 Gang Members With Illegal Weapons In City | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A special team of Jaipur police on Wednesday arrested seven members of a gang with a cache of illegal weapons and and ammunition from the Ramganariya police station area.
DCP (East) Gyan Chandra Yadav said that the police arrested the accused identified as Lokesh Kumar Meena, Devesh alias Ganj, Rakesh, Vijay Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Brijesh Meena, and Yeshiva.
Yadav said that three illegal weapons and 11 live cartridges were seized. He said that special team received information about series of videos uploaded by a gang of criminals with illegal weapons on Instagram, “We took immediate action and dispatched a team that arrested the accused and seized illegal arms from the possession of the accused,” he said.
He said that gang used online platforms to intimidate and terrorize the public. According to the police Yadav, the accused were also allegedly gathering resources for a major criminal activity. Yadav said, “We suspect that the accused were collecting wherewithal as they were planning to execute a major criminal activity, which is a matter of grave concern for us.”
All the accused are currently under investigation and are being interrogated to ascertain further details.
