Jaipur: On the completion of 75 years of Independence, the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign to honour the martyrs of the state will be launched across the state. Various plantation programmes to honour the local martyrs will be organised in all the villages on August 9, similar programmes will be held at the gram panchayat level on August 11 and at the block level on August 15, said panchayati raj secretary Ravi Jain.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that many such programmes will be organized across the country in the memory of our immortal martyrs. “In the memory of these luminaries, special inscriptions will also be installed in lakhs of village panchayats of the country. Under this campaign, ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will also be organised across the country,” Modi had informed.
The ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ carrying soil in 7500 urns from every corner of the country will reach New Delhi. tnn
