India, Saudi Arabia To Hold First Joint Military Exercise In Bikaner | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: A final planning conference is taking place at Suratgarh Military Station in Sriganganagar district between the Indian Army and Royal Saudi Land Forces for the first “Joint Training Exercise” to be conducted at Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner in January-February 2024.
Officials said that agenda points were discussed at the conference and protocol for smooth conduct of the exercise was signed by the representatives of the two armies.
The conference was preceded by a joint visit to the training area where the exercise is to take place. On arrival, the contingent of the Royal Saudi Land Forces proceeded to the exercise area at Mahajan Field Firing Range where the Indian Army.
An official of defence ministry said, “The joint exercise will focus on counter terrorism operations under United Nations Mandate. During the exercise, participants will engage in missions ranging from joint planning, operations, joint tactical drills, and will provide field commanders and troops an opportunity to interact with each other.
The exercise will contribute immensely in promoting bilateral army to army relations, enhance interoperability, exchange best practices and experiences.” He added, “The joint exercise is another step forward in the growing military to military cooperation between two countries. It is indicative that both the countries understand the common threat of terrorism and stand together in countering the same.”
