‘intensive Monitoring To Ensure Speedy Completion Of Road’ | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Public Works Department (PWD) minister Bhajan Lal Jatav said the department must work in an ‘action mode’ to complete all the budget announcements and an intensive monitoring system will be put in place to ensure road constructions are completed on time.
The minister instructed the officials to create separate wings to ensure quality in construction of PMSY (Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana) and civil engineering works.
He said in the last three-and-a-half years, the state government spent more than Rs 20,950 crore in construction and strengthening of the roads. He directed the officers to complete pending works within the stipulated time frame and said if negligence by any contractor is noticed in execution of works, action should be taken immediately against the guilty.
He also directed officers to conduct field visits for better implementation of budget announcements. Giving instructions, he said arrangements should be made for road construction in the flood-affected areas so that traffic is not affected in case of emergency. Jatav also directed the officers to conduct a survey of the DLP (Defect Liability Period) roads and to strengthen them in collaboration with the district administration and public representatives.
