International: Arts Of 15 Countries To Be Showcased At Sonar Fort | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: The third edition of ‘Panorama Editions’, billed as a sophisticated international arts salon, will be organised in Jaisalmer for a month at the Sonar Fort starting November 4. The Panorama Edition debuted in 2018 in Patiala. It is founded, produced and conceptualised by Sarah Singh, a member of the erstwhile Patiala royal family. Internationally acclaimed artists will perform and exhibit their work at the historic fort in Jaisalmer as part of the show.
The state’s tourism department is sponsoring the event along with VFS Global.Organisers said that the Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum Trust has given them unprecedented access to fabulous locations to showcase the event. “Fifteen embassies have confirmed that they will provide cultural contributions from their countries—either physical participation of visiting performing artists, or sound/audio-visual installations from their countries for the special one-month long exhibition being curated at the Fort Palace Museum,” the organisers said.
The 12th-century Sonar Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sees thousands of visitors in the peak tourist season, which is when the special event is being held. Sarah Singh said that Panorama Editions was not just any festival but an international art salon that is completely customised.

Indigo Airlines has opened bookings for daily direct flights to Jaisalmer and Diu, allowing travelers to explore historical sites and beautiful beaches. Alliance Air is also expanding its schedule with direct flights to Indore, and SpiceJet now offers a daily through flight via Chennai to Port Blair. SRFTI directors documentary on climate refugees makes it to Indian Panorama
A documentary titled “The Sea and Seven Villages” by director Himanshu Khatua has been selected for the non-feature category of the Indian Panorama. The film focuses on Satabhaya, a region in Odisha that was severely affected by climate change. Khatua visited the area and met with the families who were displaced due to the sea swallowing their land. The documentary highlights the struggles faced by the villagers, including the lack of livelihood opportunities and the younger generation becoming migrant laborers. The film’s selection has been well-received at SRFTI.
