KOTA: An 18-year-old boy from Udaipur, preparing for NEET in Kota, was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside his hostel room at Vigyan Nagar in the city late Tuesday morning.
The deceased boy was identified as Mehul Vaishnav (18), a resident of Salumbar in Udaipur district, who had been preparing for NEET in a private coaching institute of Kota for two months and living at his community’s Vaishnav hostel in Vigyan Nagar area. Mehul shared the room with another boy, who was away from the hostel on Monday night and he was alone in the room.
Police said, when Mehul did not come out of the room till late Tuesday morning, other boys in the hostel informed the caretaker, who broke the door open and found him hanging to the ceiling fan.
