Jaipur District: Over 1,700 Vehicles Acquired For Polling In Jaipur District | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The district administration has acquired 1,792 vehicles for the assembly elections to be held on Saturday, said officials on Friday. These vehicles include buses, minibuses, and jeeps in which polling material has been dispatched to polling stations. Officials said that this year 4,691 polling booths have been made for 19 seats of Jaipur, on which 50.95 lakh voters will cast their votes.
Officials said that GPS systems have been installed on all the vehicles in which polling parties and EVM machines have been sent for monitoring, so that the vehicles do not deviate from our scheduled route.For this, every vehicle will be monitored in the control room.
Virendra Singh, regional transport officer in Jaipur, said, “All the vehicles were handed over to the district administration on time so that they can carry out their process of security arrangements and monitoring. In Jaipur district, no buses were taken from state roadways corporation or JCTSL, so that local commute does not get affected and we managed the demand with private vehicles itself.”
A total of 572 buses, 1,020 minibuses, 200 smaller loading vehicles and over 180 jeeps are being used for the election process in Jaipur district. Over 20 buses were used for constituencies like Kotputli, Chomu, Phulera, Dudu, Jhotwara, Amber, Jamwaramgarh, Adarsh Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Sanganer, Bagru and Bassi. Constituencies like Jhotwara, Hawa Mahal and Vidyadhar Nagar needed over 100 vehicles in total to dispatch the polling parties. Singh further said that since the election preparation process started around 2000 jeep have been given to the administration for use at different times.

Pushpendra Bharadwaj, a Congress candidate from Sanganer, spent Rs 50,000 on hiring e-rickshaws, Rs 2.88 lakh on an election office, and Rs 100 per day on tea and snacks for his party workers. Bhajanlal Sharma, a BJP candidate from Sanganer, spent Rs 5.70 lakh on various expenses, including office rent, meals, and tea and snacks. Kalicharan Saraf from Malviya Nagar spent only Rs 3.46 lakh, the lowest among BJP candidates. The expenses of Jhotwara BJP candidate Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Congress candidate Abhishek Choudhary are yet to be received.
