Jaipur Foot US (JFU) chapter plans to provide free Indian-made prostheses, including the Jaipur Foot, to differently-abled people from the North East. The initiative is supported by a Florida-based donor, Dr. Rai Bansal. The artificial limb fitment camp will also offer other medical aids such as hearing aids and wheelchairs. JFU expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for involving their parent organization, BMVSS, in the initiative. The ongoing camps under the “India for Humanity” initiative have been sponsored by the Government of India. The Jaipur Foot officials are willing to hold more camps if needed.

Shakti Hrmann to invest Rs 175 crore in greenfield door manufacturing facility in Jaipur
Shakti Hrmann, a doors manufacturer, is investing Rs 175 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Jaipur. The facility will manufacture fire-rated wood and steel doors for the commercial and residential market. The company plans to produce 1.3 lakh wooden doors and 2 lakh steel doors per year. The wooden doors manufacturing facility will be ready by March 2024, while the steel doors manufacturing facility will be ready by June-July 2024. The company also plans to expand its product range to include industrial and perimeter security products.
