JAIPUR: A major fire broke out on the third floor of the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj and Gramin Vikas Sansthan in Gandhi Nagar on JLN Marg on Sunday morning.
Fire officer Jagdish Phulwari said that his team brought the fire under control quickly. He said that fire had also swept through the chamber of a senior official in the building.
Several fire tenders were pressed into service after a thick plume of smoke began to curl up from the building, triggering panic on JLN Marg.
Gandhi Nagar police was also alerted about the incident as fire tenders began to arrive in quick succession.
