Jaipur Not To Be Split Into Two Dists: Min | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said on Friday that Jaipur district would not be divided into two districts. Jaipur is the state capital and has its own history and dignity, he said.
“The whole of Rajasthan loves Jaipur. The Congress government and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also understand the sentiments of the people of Jaipur. The government is not dividing Jaipur district into two,” he said.
Khachariyawas said some people of BJP are unnecessarily trying to create an atmosphere by claiming that the capital city of Jaipur is being divided into two parts to fulfill their political interests. He said the capital city will remain one and the same and that its name will also remain the same.
The minister said 250 wards of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage and Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater would remain in Jaipur only. “If any village of Jaipur Rural wants to be a part of Dudu or Kotputli districts on their own wish, they could do so, but Jaipur City and Jaipur district will remain as before,” he said.
