Jaisalmer: 3 Drown While Bathing In Separate Incidents |
Jaisalmer: Three men drowned while bathing in separate incidents in Jaisalmer and Barmer districts in the last 24 hours.
Police said Dinesh, 25, a resident of Bhakhalura, drowned in Luni river while taking a bath there along with four friends on Sunday. He was earlier shooed away by the security personnel deployed near the river, but he came again and jumped into the river, said officials. About six swimmers tried to search for his body till Sunday night but were unable to find it.
In the second incident, the body of Ramesh Kumar, 27, a resident of Kanasar in Barmer district, was fished out of a diggi full of water in Mohangarh area. He was a labourer and had entered the diggi with three other men, who were rescued by the locals.
In a third incident in Barmer’s Balotra, a youth drowned in Luni river in Kitnod village near Jasol police station area on Monday.
