Jaisalmer: Remains of a Great Indian Bustard (GIB) were found under high-tension wires passing over Gangaram hamlet in Dholiya village of Jaisalmer district on Wednesday night. From the dead bird’s feathers and remains lying scattered under the wires, it is suspected that it died after hitting the wires a few days ago.
This is the second reported incident of death of the endangered birds caused by contact with electricity wires in the area in five months. tnn
