JDA imposes fine of Rs 4 crore on pvt firm for inappropriate bidding | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Friday, imposed a fine of Rs 4.25 crore on a private firm, engaged in inappropriate bidding and hid information from authorities while applying for the tender for a project.
The firm, in question, had initially got the tender for construction of signal free structures at B2B Bypass and at Laxmi Mandir Tiraha. However, the tender was later called off as the agency has allegedly submitted applications with wrong facts. “A fine of Rs 4.25 crore has been imposed against the contractor for participating in bid surpassing information,” said a senior official from JDA.
Two agencies had participated in the bidding process for the tenders for construction of signal free structures at the two crossings.
An agency from Odisha got the tender however, it was called off in February – March 2022 after an anonymous complaint. One of the requisites to bid was that agencies who have legal proceedings against them won’t be able to participate.
This agency had hidden this fact. There was a case registered against this agency by a nationalised bank at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
