“All these colonies were coming up illegally by converting agricultural land. We have zero tolerance policy against any illegal colony in the city. So, we had demolished all these three upcoming colonies,” said Raghuveer Saini, chief of the enforcement branch of JDA.
The first colony demolished was located near the electricity office in Bassi Chowk village. It was coming up on a land measuring 2 bighas. The second was also coming up on 2 bighas near Kanota Pulia in Kanota village and the third was coming up in Siroli village near Ring Road on a land measuring around 8 bighas.
