Jda Removes Encroachment From Lal Kothi For Underpass | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Monday removed encroachment from zone-3 near Lal Kothi area to make way for the underpass made as part of the Laxmi Mandir Junction Traffic Project, said officials on Monday.
To make the Laxmi Mandir crossing signal free, JDA has constructed an underpass that would connect Sahakar Marg (just before the sabji mandi) with Tonk Road (in front of Nehru Bal Udyan). Vehicles on Sahakar Marg that have to take a right turn from the crossing would have to reach Tonk Road through this underpass and then head straight. The area cleared by JDA on Monday is a key road from where vehicles will enter the underpass.
Dharmendra Kumar Yadav, chief controller of enforcement said, “In the Lakshmi Mandir Junction Traffic Project located under the jurisdiction of Zone-3, tin sheds, tarpaulin-bamboo, were installed by encroaching on government land. Enforcement team organized a mass campaign along with JMC to stop encroachment. Dhabas, fruit-flower shops, carts, shops were removed.”
Authorities had conducted several anti-encroachment drives earlier.
