Jmc-g Wants More Funds To Repair Drains | Jaipur News
Jaipur: JMC-Greater deputy mayor Punnet Karnawat has written to chief minister Ashok Gehlot requesting him to allocate sufficient funds in the state budget so that all old and dilapidated sewerage lines can be replaced and both municipalities can lay new sewer lines in the upcoming localities.
“At present, the city’s sewerage network extends for around 6,000km. More than half of this network has been damaged. Due to leakage and blockage in old and dilapidated sewer lines, there is a possibility of accidents. Situation becomes worse during rainy season when dirty water gets mixed with drinking water supply of the PHED,” said Karnawat. tnn
