JMC Greater: Poll Code: Jmc Greater Removes 8k Posters, Ads | Jaipur News

Jaipur: With implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC)Greater administration started removing posters and advertisements in the city on Monday and has removed 8,000 such posters in 24 hours, said officials on Tuesday.
Janardan Sharma, deputy commissioner for revenue at JMC-Greater, said that work on removing posters started on Monday itself after the election commission announced the poll dates.
“Teams from all seven zones of the municipal corporation and one team from the headquarter office is working on removing posters, advertisements in the city after implementation of model code of conduct. In 24 hours, 8,000 posters were removed including major hoardings. In each zone three teams are working in eight-hour shifts throughout the day,” said Sharma.
He said that this work will continue in the coming days also as smaller posters still need to be removed.
