Jmc: Jmc-g To Keep Pictures Of Dead Stray Cattle In Records | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The JMC Greater has decided to keep records of dead stray cattle along with their pictures. The chairperson for the animal management committee has already written to officials to start the process. This is to ensure that people do not ask for money or fee from the civic body after the corporation picks up these stray cattle, or if anything happens to them after being picked up.
The decision was taken after a recent case where the civic body had caught two stray cattle from Niwaru Road in the city. The owner of the animals deposited a fee at the corporation this month to get the cattle released and took them away last week. When the owner reached the cow shelter after this, he found one of his cows dead. He reached the corporation headquarters and demanded refund of the deposited fee.
Arun Kumar, chairperson of the animal management branch, has issued instructions to maintain records including photos of the dead cattle so that owners are able to identify their animal.
