Jobless Youths Held For Protesting Outside Pcc | Jaipur News

Jaipur: As many as 84 people were detained on Thursday for protesting outside the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office under the banner of Rajasthan Berozgar Ekikrit Mahasangh (RBEM).
The protesters were detained at different police stations under Jaipur North for causing obstruction to traffic movement, said Sanjay Circle police station SHO Mohd Shapiq Khan. “The case was lodged at our police station, but the protesters were detained at different police stations under Jaipur North. They were detained under Section 151 of the CrPC at Shastri Nagar, Bhatta Basti, Vidhyadharnagar, Sanjay Circle, Manak Chowk, Kotwali and Jalupura police stations,” said Khan, adding that the protesters would be kept under detention through Thursday night.
The protesters were detained for blocking the road, causing obstruction to traffic movement and disturbing peace.
“We tried to reason with them from 9 in the morning till 5 pm, but they refused to listen to us. We requested them to vacate the road but they did nt agree,” added Khan. TNN
