Police said that the accused held interviews of dummy candidates where he asked current affairs questions to ascertain if dummy candidates were capable of clearing tests.
JAIPUR: Jaipur Rural police arrested the kingpin of a REET cheating racket that conducted interviews and screening of dummy candidates before sending them to appear on behalf of students. DSP, Govindgarh, Sandeep Sarswat said that the police had already arrested five accused on September 26.
“We have arrested the gang’s kingpin identified as Chandan Singh. He is a bike-cab rider in NCR region. He took Rs 50,000 for fielding dummy candidates,” he said. Police said that the accused held interviews of dummy candidates where he asked current affairs questions to ascertain if dummy candidates were capable of clearing tests. According to Sarswat, the accused also held screen tests of dummy candidates to see if they matched the description of REET students.
