Labourer: Fir Against Contractor After Labourer Killed | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Jaipur police have filed an FIR against a contractor following the death of a 24-year-old labourer at a construction site in Binadyaka.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when a parapet collapsed, resulting in the death of Chotey Lal (24) on the spot, and injuries to Rajneesh Kumar (23).
On Wednesday, Kumar filed an FIR at the Bindayaka police station, alleging that the contractor had ignored safety regulations, even when the labourers had requested helmets during the construction work.
He alleged that on Tuesday afternoon, the parapet came crashing down on them, killing Chotey Lal.
Police lodged an FIR against the contractor under IPC Section 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 304A (causing death by negligence).
Police said that Kumar is undergoing treatment in SMS hospital. The accused has been idenitfied as Radhey Shyam. Police also visited the site on Thursday. TNN
