Law Student: Law student’s suicide in Barmer linked to ‘sextortion’ | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: A Law student allegedly committed suicide at his house in Barmer. Police said that he was possibly a victim of sextortion as he had received a WhatsApp video call just before he went to his room and hanged himself there. On searching his phone, police found that Rs 24,500 had been transferred an hour ago to an account through Paytm. The student’s uncle also told police that his nephew was being blackmailed.
Family members told police that Pradeep, 24, was having his dinner when he went to his room to receive a phone call.When he did not come out of the room for a long while, his door was knocked for about 15 minutes. The door was broken and Pradeep was found hanging. tnn
