Females: Cm Okays Proposal For 90% Discount In Bus Fares For Females | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Now, girls and women of the state will be given 90% discount in bus fares on getting monthly roadways passes made. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal to this effect. The chief minister had recently made an announcement in this regard.
“With this approval, girls and women will now have to bear only 10% of the fare. This discount will be applicable on ordinary and express buses of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation within the limits of the state,” an official statement from the chief minister’s office said.
At present, about 1.61 lakh monthly travel passes have been issued to women and men by RSRTC. These passes are issued at a discount of 45% on the fare amount.
The chief minister also gave approval to convert 510 schools of various categories into Government Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools and to upgrade 47 upper primary schools into higher secondary schools. By upgrading the schools, 611 new posts will be created.
The employees of the lab technician and radiographer cadre will now get a uniform allowance of Rs 2,750 per month instead of Rs 2250. Gehlot approved the proposal in this regard. Gehlot approved a financial proposal of Rs 1 crore for the construction of Sainik Kalyan Bhawan in Jaipur.
He also approved the proposal to increase the honorarium for members of the state and district commissions and consumer protection. With this approval of the chief minister, the honorarium of members of district Commissions will increase to Rs 44,500 and the pay scale of members of state Commission will increase to Rs 55,500.
