Leadership Examples: ‘leaders Should Lead By Examples Like Gandhi’ | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Infosys co-founder NR Narayan Murthy, who called himself a devotee of Mahatma Gandhi at a talk show in the city said that leaders should lead by examples, and it is a necessary quality of an entrepreneur.
Reflecting about his childhood days in a family of 11 including his parents and grandmother, he said life was hard but his father showed the way. Narrating a family incident of his brother asking for a transistor and his father’s advice had made big impression on his life.
“The things that bring maximum happiness in life do not need much money was the advice of my father that stayed with me for life,” he said.
Murthy also dwelled on the topics like generative AI, condition in India before the economic reforms in 1991, honesty and transparency in business engagements and the country’s prospects of becoming a $5 trillion economy.
In the talk show organised by Jaipur Citizen Forum (JCF), CP Gunani, CEO of TechMahindra also picked slices of his life as a professional and struggles that he endured. Gurnani spoke highly of JCF’s chairman Rajiv Arora and co-chairman Jayashree Periwal who came without any entrepreneurial background to build illustrious organisations by sheer grit and conviction.
Arora too provided glimpses of his entrepreneurial journey that started during the pre-reforms period, rather called licence Raj.
