Leak mafia managed to dodge anti-cheating cell in Rajasthan | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Though the state government had set up an anti-cheating cell under police to keep a close eye on the exam mafia, Bhupendra Saran, whose name often cropped up in cheating cases, managed to escape the survillance and engineered the senior teacher exam paper leak last month.
Saran and his aide Suresh Dhaka, the two ringleaders of the entire conspiracy, managed to slip from Jaipur after they learned that Udaipur police had raided a hotel where students were being showed the exam paper.
It is not yet known who had tipped off Saran and Dhaka about police action, but it raises question as to why the newly formed cell failed to keep such miscreants under constant check.
The racket was busted by Udaipur police after they had received a specific information. However, the cell was formulated to keep tabs over the exam mafia, yet it failed to complete it’s madate.
Another important aspect of the case was the forged degree scam operated by Saran and his family that was busted. Saran was printing fake degrees but none of the agency had any idea of his activties for a long time.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan police said an intensive search operation is underway and both Saran and Dhaka will soon be arrested.
