‘file Fir Against 4 For Not Paying Rent For Mobile Tower’ | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Metropolitan Magistrate Court-5 of Jaipur Metro-II on Thursday directed Jalupura police in the city to register a case against Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance Jio Infocom Limited, and three other company employees for not paying rent of a space leased for their company’s telecom signal tower. Ambani and the three others were accused of neither paying the rent nor vacating the property since occupying it on December 19, 2013.
The petition was filed by Manoj Vaishnav, a resident of Madanganj-Kishangarh in Ajmer district.
His counsel, Giriraj Prasad Sharma, told the court that Vaishnav’s father owned a house in Rawatsar, Madanganj, the terrace of which Reliance Jio rented for its tower through a lease deed dated December 19, 2013, for Rs 7,000 per month for 20 years. It installed its tower but did not pay the rent amont. During the lease period, Vaishnav’s father died on February 24, 2016.
Sharma told the court that Vaishnav went to the regional office of the company to request to cancel the lease deed, remove the tower, and pay the outstanding rent from December 19, 2013, but the employees of the company abused and misbehaved with him.
