Jaipur: Dr Ashok Gupta, the in-charge of the rare diseases division at SMS Medical College and Hospital in Jaipur, has been nominated as the head of the Global Task Force on Rare Diseases. The task force has been formed by International Paediatric Association (IPA) incorporated in Switzerland. with membership from 149 countries and seven regional societies. It will focus on early diagnosis, prevention, screening, and facilitating therapy for rare diseases. tnn
