Man Sustains Bullet Injuries As ‘peace Talk’ Turns Violent, 3 Held | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: A “peace talk” meant to resolve longstanding resentments and disputes between two groups turned into a violent clash, resulting in a 25-year-old man sustaining multiple gunshot wounds on Thursday night in Paragpura near Jaipur.
The Jaipur (Rural) police on Friday arrested three individuals for firing at Kesar Mal, the victim of the shooting. “He (Kesar) sustained bullet injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital,” stated an official.
SHO (Pargapura) Sawai Singh identified the suspects as Ravikant, also known as Ravi (29), Bhwani Shankar, alias Raju, and Mahipal Yadav. According to the Jaipur (rural) police, both Kesar and the accused had been involved in a bitter feud. However, they agreed to come together to find a solution.
The initial rounds of discussions were cordial as two sides listed their grievances. However, just before midnight, the conversation took an ugly turn when insults were traded. “Angry and hurt, Kesar left the premises. The accused decided to teach Kesar a lesson for walking out. They followed him and opened fire,” revealed an anonymous official.
“The accused followed Kesar for quite a long. They first waylaid him and then opened fire at him,” said an official.
The police initiated a search operation throughout the night and arrested the suspects after multiple raids.
“The accused fired at Kesar with the intention to kill him as evidence recovered from the scene also suggests the same,” said an official.
Jaipur (Rural) police stated they will speak to Kesar once his condition improves.
“The incident came to our attention late on Thursday night. We thoroughly investigated the crime scene and discovered evidence of gunfire. Our teams spread out in multiple directions and gathered information that three men orchestrated the attack on Kesar,” explained an official.
The police also indicated that they are investigating the potential involvement of other suspects.
