Jaipur: A 24-year-old girl in Mahesh Nagar was run over by a train Saturday evening. The local police station identified the girl as Bhavna. She was studying in Jaipur and died while crossing railway tracks around 4pm.
She was a graduate student in Jaipur. Police said that her parents were informed about the accident, and they are coming to Jaipur from Barmer.
A post-mortem would be conducted on Sunday when the family arrives in Jaipur to claim her body.
“The locals claimed that the girl had earphones plugged in when the accident happened, we can not corroborate that at this stage,” said an official.
Police are investigating the matter.
