‘make Policy For Eco-friendly Disposal Of Sanitary Napkins’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Mamta Bhupesh, minister for women and child development during a review meeting of various schemes on Friday instructed officials to make a state level policy soon for bio-decomposition and eco-friendly disposal of sanitary napkins being distributed under IM Shakti Udaan scheme.
Bhupesh also instructed officials to ensure regular supply of sanitary napkins at all schools and anganwadis under the Udaan scheme. She directed officials to ensure early completion of the process of starting Women’s Safety and Counselling Centres at the district level in all the police circles to provide necessary counselling to the women.
She also instructed chief development program officers and deputy directors working in the districts to send proposals for new anganwadi centres at the earliest, in compliance with the budget announcement of chief minister Gehlot to open 10,000 new anganwadi centres in the state.
The minister asked officials to ensure that regular awareness campaigns are run providing information of different government schemes so that maximum people can take benefit of these schemes.
In the meeting, secretary for women and child development Jitendra Upadhyay, director ICDS Ramavtar Meena along with other officials were also present.
